Today Susan Powell and her husband have arrived at airport and we took them to the hotel, the first infusion is planned for Friday 24 March.

Today our Case Manager Cosimo picked up Susan Powell and her husband for the first infusion, with another patient: Laurel Favilla. The treatment started on time at 9 am and lasted 2 hours; when the treatment ended they went for a tour of Lake Garda and we accompanied Susan to the pharmacy to buy a heating pad before returning to the hotel.

Today our Case Manager Cosimo Bruzzo picked up Laurel & Susan with their husbands for the second infusion; the treatment has started and all is well; it seems like they feel no particular side effects and they are already starting to feel somewhat better with more strength in their limbs to walk around, which is actually unusually quick. The nurses and Dr Righetti initiated the infusion at 8 o’clock and lasted for 2 hours.
Our Case Manager Cosimo stayed by their side. Once they finished with the infusion, our Case Manager Cosimo accompanied Susan Powell & spouse to Verona and left them near the city center as they had arranged for a meeting with an old German friend of theirs, who has just flown in from Germany. Our Case Manager Cosimo then accompanied Laurel and Andrew Favilla to the hotel.

Our Case Manager Cosimo accompanied Laurel & Andrew Favilla downtownto have a walk in Vicenza; it seems like Laurel has enough strength to walk and go around. They then returned to the hotel with a taxi after having seen several shops and stopped at several cafes. On Thursday, they will also meet a friend who used to work at the US Army Base, Camp Ederle, in Vicenza.

Our Case Manager Cosimo picked up Laurel & Susan with their husbands for the third infusion. After a short visit by Dr Righetti, the treatment has started and all is well. The nurses and Dr Righetti initiated the infusion at 8 o’clock and lasted for 2 hours. Meanwhile our Case Manager Cosimo stayed by their side. The patients are both not feeling any collateral effects and are tolerating the treatment very well. After the treatment, our Case Manager Cosimo accompanied Laurel to get 3 medications that Dr Righetti prescribed to help with her muscle spasms and neuropathy.

Our Case Manager Cosimo picked up Laurel & Susan with their husbands for the fourth and last infusion; after a short visit by Dr Righetti, the treatment has started and all is well. The nurses and Dr Righetti initiated the infusion at 8 o’clock and, as usual, it lasted for 2 hours. Meanwhile our Case Manager Cosimo stayed by their side. Dr Righetti prepared the medical reports for the patients certifying that they had completed the treatment and that they reacted very well with significant improvements manifesting already during the infusions. Our Case Manager Cosimo, once the infusions were over, took Susan and Laurel to film the testimonials. After lunch, they said goodbye and promised that we would speak in the next 2 months when the treatment reached maximum effect.

Laurel & Andrew Favilla felt well enough to check out of the hotel and stay a couple of days on holiday in Milan.
They then left a couple of days after that.
Sunday April 1, 2017
Sam & Susan left the hotel and went to spend a couple of days in Verona before taking their plane back home! It looks like, after all, they had a wonderful time.
